We are currently looking for a Global Strategic Insights Lead, Senior Manager for our global headquarters in Glattbrugg (Zurich, Switzerland) for a 12-month contract with a high likelihood of  extension. 

The Strategic Insights & Analytics function is part of our Commercial organization and drives strategic and tactical plans across brands leveraging insights and analytics. In this role, you be responsible for driving the strategic and tactical plans for specific brand/s by leveraging analytics to generate actionable insights. 
This role will require a high level of cross-functional interaction and internal customer management at senior levels. You will work closely with the assigned brand team including but not limited to Global Marketing, Medical and Market access Directors. 

This would present an opportunity for an individual currently in the consulting environment with a passion for scientific excellence in the natural or life sciences to further their career on the sponsor side to delve deeper into the strategic aspects of product launch on a global basis. 

Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 
  • Leading the development of insights generation / business analysis plans
  • Providing insights & foresight on markets, competitors, customers & patients to the Brand Teams, to help develop strategic and operational tactics
  • Leading strategic projects with significant business analysis components (e.g., TA prioritization assessment, LCM opportunities)
  • Developing forecasting models and leading the assessment of business opportunities (including geographical expansion), root cause & situation analyses
  • Managing overall market research / business analysis processes and budget, ensuring adherence to compliance and safety regulations
  • Supporting the brand planning process by leading the Situational analysis, connecting the dots to reveal drivers & barriers of brand performance & identifying strategic and tactical opportunities for business growth 
  • Leading competitive intelligence monitoring for the assigned brand/s
  • Defining and tracking relevant KPIs 
  • Driving the development of innovative solutions to complex, unstructured problems
  • Acting as HQ liaison to affiliates, fostering best practice sharing and collaboration across forecasting, CI and market research
 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Master’s degree in Life Science preferred an additional qualification in business administration would also be an asset 
  • 5 years minimum years of relevant experience in top tier consulting company &/or in strategic planning/ analytics/insights roles in the Pharma/Biopharma industry 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a top tier consulting company 
  • Experience in supporting international product launches with Market Insights / Business Planning 
  • Expertise in building forecast models / business cases
  • Rigorous research skills and experience with primary market research methods / techniques (quantitative and qualitative), including knowledge of questionnaire design, data analysis techniques and statistics
  • Must have strong, persuasive verbal and written communication skills and experience with delivering executive level presentations 
  • Must have proven leadership competencies not necessarily line management but ‘influence without authority’ is desired
  • Strong time and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills in Excel and ability to see beyond the numbers. 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications.
