We are currently recruiting for an accomplished Regional Affairs Manager to take an assignment in our successful RA team with base in Italy. As a Regional Affairs Manager, you will already have a robust understanding of relevant Regional Health Care systems and who their main players and influencers are, including HCO’s management, regional decision makers and so forth.
This particular role is based and focusses in the Lombardy Region, as such you will be expected to already reside in the area and have experience in this region.
Reporting directly to the Head of Government Affairs , your main responsibilities will include:
Continuously monitoring and reporting changes in the local market access environment and adapting activities accordingly
Developing value-added projects for the selected products in relationship with Scientific Societies, Payer, Physician, Patient, Health Care Professionals
Conducting market research, individual studies, expert panels to obtain modelling data – in close collaboration with the other departments
Managing a close personal contact with all major stakeholders (Payers, Local Authority, Regional Authority) to optimize market access
Supporting Business Units on market access issues.
Maximizing market access of products
Managing local health economic data collection/creation
Ability to lead and being member of cross-functional team
Establishing and maintaining professional, productive relationships with external market access stakeholders and policymakers to ensure access and adoption of Vifor products at regional/local level.
Identifying opportunities to partner with external stakeholders and decision makers at regional and local level that lead to recognition of the value of Vifor products.
Providing single point of contact for all regional market access aspects between the business units
Leveraging deep understanding of the regional market access requirements, the evolving environment and future trends to ensure that the market access regional needs are adequately reflected in the country strategies and plans
Via continuous monitoring of PR&A developments in the regions of competence, alert country, BU, brand teams to healthcare system developments, competitor activity or other events that would have the potential to impact market access for Vifor’s portfolio.
Economic and/or scientific academic education
Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
Minimum 2 years of experience in the field market access for branded products
Experience as a sales representative
Professional level local language, both in oral and written communications
Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication
(Health) Economic and/or scientific academic education
Knowledge in the relevant therapeutic areas
