In order to strengthen our New Product Introductions (NPI) function, we are currently looking for a dynamic, experienced Strategic Supply Chain Launch Manager for our Zürich / St. Gallen location (hybrid working model). In this exciting position, you will be directly responsible to lead and coordinate all launch supply activities for new products, bringing innovative new therapies to our patients. You will be reporting to the Head of New Product Introductions Supply Chain.

Key Tasks
  • Manage the end-to-end supply chain setup for new products: lead cross-functionally to ensure optimal supply chain setup and ensure timely alignment with operational teams.
  • Assess, design, and optimise the supply chain of new products, in alignment with internal as well as external partners
  • Manage and execute NPI projects professionally and according to agreed timelines, with an optimal TTM and no delay due to SCM
  • Lead and/or contribute to other SC projects, initiatives, and optimizations
  • Closely align Supply Chain setup- and structure-related topics with key strategies and functions, i.e. CMO / sourcing strategy, Tech Ops strategy, regulatory strategy, commercial operations, etc.
  • Own the product(s) and SC stream(s) for key and / or new businesses 
  • Build and manage mutually beneficial relationships with strategic partners (both customers and suppliers / manufacturers); support, safeguard, and contribute to successful strategic alliances
  • Communicate effectively to senior management and other stakeholders on supply chain matters for the respective businesses, including regular presentation work at various forums and organizational levels.
  • Hands-on business planning including forecasting, in-market sales, stock levels, market / demand trends; identify and resolve supply constraints; drive business planning improvements; share and discuss plans effectively among required stakeholders
  • Conduct supply chain analyses such as LTP or network strategy
  • Lead or support department process assessment and optimization efforts
  • Proactively align supply & commercial strategy with commercial operations responsible for the respective products & partnerships
  • Lead or contribute to contract negotiations in collaboration with commercial teams & alliance management, and aligned with GSC leadership
  • Engender cross-functional operational support for the affected projects including resource commitment
  • Manage projects according to clearly defined milestones and using PMP methodologies, e.g. stage & gate
  • Ensure compliant supply of products, information and capital, in accordance to the contractual obligations and agreements with partners
  • Integrate seamlessly across involved functions and delegate operational tasks accordingly; ensure a smooth & flawless transition from launch phase to regular commercial operations
  • Ensure correct invoicing according to agreements
  • Represent SCM at brand strategy meetings and/or other strategic meetings for the product(s)
  • Additional tasks may be required by the function
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.

Minimum Requirements
  • University Degree in International Management or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant Supply Chain Function (e.g. Supply Operations, Planning, Customer Operations, Demand Management) in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of product launches / NPIs
  • Experience in business planning and forecasting
  • Proven project management and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills; must be fluent in English (written and verbally), German is an advantage
Preferred Requirements
  • GMP / GDP experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP/S4) and proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Project, ThinkCell, PowerPoint)
