Vifor Pharma, a world leading Nephrology, Iron Deficiency and Cardio-Renal pharmaceutical company, is experiencing rapid growth due to pipeline realization and optimization. As such, a Launch Lead position in Portugal has arisen. The ideal candidate will have strong pre and post launch experience with demonstrable experience of launching hospital products ideally within the Nephrology space. 

The ideal candidate will utilize the latest tools and techniques to ensure an optimal launch strategy and execution in Portugal. Fluency in English is mandatory. 

Main Accountabilities 
  • Anticipating, assessing and communicating market and organizational changes in a timely manner
  • Preparing cross-functional strategic and operational launch plans
  • Ensuring launch readiness strategy and tactics and driving execution cross-functionally and through management of external partners
  • Planning and managing launch resources (e.g. budgets, FTE allocation), defining and tracking key launch KPIs and conducting course corrections as required
  • Leading the local launch brand team and collaborating with the global teams
  • Tasks 
  • Collects / shares information from business partners and other sources to anticipate, monitor and assess market and organizational changes
  • Collaborates with global teams to translate global strategies into local plans that drive optimal launch and brand positioning at local level 
  • Drives and manages the local launch process, developing and leading execution of the strategic and operational local launch plan
  • Leads and coordinates early launch impact assessment plan as well as launch readiness and execution with cross-functional launch team and external partners
  • Defines and oversees key launch tracking measures
  • Tracks and reports launch KPIs, ensuring adherence to, management and tracking of launch resources and taking corrective actions to deliver on the plan
  • Leads the local cross-functional launch brand team and collaborates with the global teams

Minimum Requirements
  • Master degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the life sciences industry with previous experience both in marketing and sales positions
  • Track record of successful product launches at hospital setting
  • Track record of indirect leadership working in a cross-functional matrix organization
  • Customer-oriented, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and willing to work in the field (outside of office)
  • Project management skills
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications
  • Availability to travel at least 20-40% of the time

Preferred Requirements

  • Scientific/medical academic background
  • Strong pre and post launch experience with track record experience of launching hospital products ideally within the Nephrology space 
  • Business Intelligence and Data Analytics knowledge
  • Experience with digital channels, omnichannel knowledge
