We are currently looking for an experienced Pharma Head of Finance for Brazil. In this exciting position you will be in charge of the accurate and comprehensive local financial management and act as a single point of contact for all accounting in general and administrative activities run in the Brazilian site. As a key member of the Brazilian Leadership Team, you will be actively participating and contributing to strengthening the Vifor Pharma business in Brazil. You will be directly reporting to the LATAM Regional Finance Head.

Key Tasks

Financial Management
  • Monitors sales, expenditure, invoice processing
  • Provides financial information to GM Brazil on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Works with HQ finance to ensure efficient monthly closing of accounts
  • Manages local bank accounts, payroll and external payments
  • Provide concurrence for Tax matters: ICMS, PIS/COFINS, ISS, Income Tax, Withholdings, Transfer Price, Financial Transactions Tax
  • Lead Administration for IT, Car Fleet and Facility
Financial Processes
  • Establish and run a monthly financial process which support achievement of financial Objectives
  • Ensure monthly reporting documentation is completed accurately and timelines are met
  • Establish relevant SOPs to ensure compliance with local and HQ financial requirements
  • Establish, monitor and review levels of authority in line with corporate guidance
  • Internal Corporate and External Audits attendance
Planning
  • Supports annual planning cycle by providing information and analysis
  • Produces financial information for inclusion in submissions/presentations
  • Supports business cases for portfolio expansion
  • Controls overall effectiveness of marketing finance and identifies potential for improvement
Rolling Forecasts and Orders
  • Operates a monthly S&OP Process involving relevant stakeholders
  • Works with supply chain to ensure accurate forecasting, timely ordering and avoid stock-outs
Compliance management
  • Work with GM Brazil to ensure compliance with local and global requirements
  • Support audits

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • University educated in a specific/economic/financial subject
  • Qualified accountant familiar with command accounting standards
  • Minimum 10 year experience in an operational and management finance role with growing responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years in equivalent position in a pharmaceutical company
  • Experience with financial reporting and related tools and systems
  • Strong analytical capability coupled with high capability in managed data and utilizing analytical tools
  • Experience of providing financial forecasts and analysis to support business processes and proposals
  • Strong team working skills and experience
  • Experience in working with business process outsourcing
  • Experience of working with partners/ clients would be useful
  • Demonstrated ability to provide financial analysis but turn into insight and recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work under pressure taking accountability to solve problems and face challenges
  • Proven strong determination and leadership skills balanced with an open-minded character
  • Fluent level in English, both in oral and written communications
  • Computer skills, with higher level understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
