Vifor pharma is experiencing rapid growth due to pipeline acceleration and launch of a rare disease product within vasculitis. As such, a unique opportunity has arisen to take a seat in our Global Headquarters in Glattbrugg, as the Global Brand Team Lead for our latest rare disease product.

In this role you will be responsible for leading the brand strategy, including strategic and operational brand planning as well as lifecycle management. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Leading the development of growth opportunities and business cases
  • Leading and coordinating the execution of the brand plan across all functions, therapeutic
  • areas and regions
  • Driving commercialization efforts and the implementation of brand strategy across
  • functions and regions
  • Overseeing the engagement with thought leaders and professional societies
  • Leading and managing the annual budgeting, brand P&L and shared P&L
  • Ensuring the measurement and monitoring of brand(s) performance to increase
  • effectiveness
  • Developing and coaching direct reports and members of the GBT
  • Leading the global cross-functional brand team
  • Leading the build-up of functional capabilities by developing, coaching, and managing the
  • training needs of the marketing team

The main tasks for this role include:

  • Leads and coordinates strategic and operational brand planning across the product(s)
  • lifecycle, provides guidance and quality control as needed
  • Actively identifies business threats & develops contingency plans as needed
  • Identifies & leads the development of business cases for opportunities / growth areas
  • Supports the Global Business Unit Rare Diseases (GBU RD) to establish commercial
  • launch readiness
  • Alliance Collaboration
  • Coordinates the development and roll-out of a standardized KPI reporting for the GBU
  • RD
  • Facilitates the creation of sustainable, long-term relationships with thought leaders
  • and professional societies
  • Oversees the roll-out of the global brand strategy by leading and coordinating the
  • execution of the brand plan across all functions, therapeutic areas and regions
  • Develops and implements global initiatives, incl. disease awareness campaigns,
  • patient education platforms, customer engagement plans in alignment with the patient
  • journeys
  • Develops and tailors the omnichannel and digital strategy for RD, creates digital
  • assets and supports the markets with the roll-out and tracking
  • Integrates across functions, regions and partners with regards to planning and
  • execution of the global brand program
  • Leads the Joint Commercial Committee together with the partner counterpart
  • Fosters knowledge transfer and best practice sharing in the GBU RD and the broader
  • Vifor organisation
  • Leads annual budgeting / MTP process across functions, ensuring efficiencies in planning
  • and execution and making investment trade-offs across the marketing mix
  • Monitors brand P&L, shared P&L and KPIs, taking proactive corrective actions to deliver
  • on the plan and continuously improve performance
  • Chairs the Global Brand Team and leads other teams to leverage the cross-functional
  • synergies
  • Leads the build-up of functional capabilities, coaching, developing, and managing the
  • training needs of the marketing team
  • Maintains for the own team a current and comprehensive knowledge of disease state,
  • Vifor products and competitors through individua

Requirements:

  • Track record in relevant Rare Diseases.
  • Scientific academic education (Master’s degree or PhD) or MD
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, thereof minimum 5
  • years of experience in roles with an international or global scope
  • Strong track record in operational sales and marketing management at country level
  • as well as in international strategic and operational brand management experience
  • Working experience in a dynamic, international experience and in a fast-growing
  • organisation
  • Track record of successful product launch in national and international settings
  • Experience in leading highly skilled teams
  • Track record of achieving results in matrix organization settings
  • Financial and budgeting skills and experience
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications
  • Able to travel at least 20-25%
