Vifor Pharma a world leading Nephrology, Iron Deficiency and Cardio-Renal pharmaceutical company are experiencing rapid growth due to pipeline realization and optimization. As such a position has arisen for an experienced sales leader in the South and Devolved Nations territory to take ownership of a highly prestigious territory to provide healthcare professionals with options for indications with unmet needs. 

Ideally you will have experience of the complexities of London as a healthcare system and have a modern leadership style to help to develop colleagues working within the territory to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 

The role holder will take strategic decisions to orchestrate the internal resources to drive change in a customer journey, ensuring and all parts of our internal ecosystem are utilised in order to drive the required change. You will have the responsibility for making sure the Customer Experience is exceptional and leaves the customer wanting to partner with Vifor Pharma in order to achieve their goals.

Main Accountabilities 

  • Takes strategic decisions on how to allocate resources to meet portfolio sales targets in an account
  • Drives the value of Vifor by contributing to improved customer and patient journeys within an account ecosystem
  • Ensures all Sales channels are optimised, leveraging Medical, Sales and Healthcare solutions field resources digital technology and MC strategy
  • Shapes the new operating environment to create collaborative Ways of Working and deploy omni-channel strategy
  • Creates a network of 3M peers (Medical, Marketing, Market Access) to drive content creation and customer journeys
  • Drives consent and opt in
  • Provides leadership to the field teams to meet the company objectives

Tasks

  • Works with 3M team to ensure resources are available and allocated appropriately and sets ambitious goals and milestones
  • Coaches own team to a high standard, ensuring skills and knowledge remain high (virtually and in field)
  • Communicates activities to relevant stakeholders, ensuring visibility of activities at all times  
  • Maintains a stakeholder influence map of internal and external contacts and uses this to drive decisions
  • Utilises all available data sources to make strategic decisions
  • Interacts with 3M teams to understand and support Marketing strategy
  • Brings key stakeholders together to optimise influence networks 
  • Stays connected to external organisations to understand local/national policy and to make decisions on “where to play” 
  • Identifies where the customer experience can be improved and focuses the strategy on addressing the required changes

The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.

Minimum Requirements 

  • Strong scientific/medical knowledge on Bachelor’s/Master’s level
  • Has led a matrixed team with both direct and indirect leadership responsibility. 
  • Worked in a role with substantial Marketing or Market Access and Medical component
  • Has worked in a Multi-channel marketing environment, leveraging digital technology as part of a multi-channel strategy
  • Demonstrates Learning agility and ability
  • Mastery in influence mapping and using customer influence to gain credibility for projects

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Has held a role where solid understanding of local healthcare market has driven success
  • Enjoys the blend of homeworking & being in the heart of a Clinical setting
  • Has been part of a brand team who have launched a product in the previous 5 years
  • Project Management Experience
  • Has brought innovative service ideas to customers to drive improved patient outcomes
  • Has worked in a role optimising both promotional and non-promotional channels
