CordenPharma Fribourg is an expert manufacturer of solid oral dosage forms and non-sterile liquid drug products, offering a full range of services from pharmaceutical development for phase I-III and commercial scale manufacturing, to packaging and pharma-logistics for a global market.

As a former Vifor Pharma operations site, CordenPharma Fribourg brings over 56 years of experience to CordenPharma’s full-service CDMO platform. The site is inspected by Swissmedic, FDA, ANVISA and the Russian Authorities.

Procurement Manager 100% (h/f) - Fribourg

Function description

In this position, you will work in the Supply Chain department and be responsible for operational management, contract negotiation and monitoring, and supervision of your department in accordance with CordenPharma procedures and international guidelines. Your main activities are :

 Main activities

• Ensure full chain control for operational procurement activities: Raw Materials, Capital Items (CAPEX) & Products/Services (OPEX) under the purchases team’s responsibility
• Placing orders based on MRP, follow up until goods release and following up on claims
• Ensure (supplier) management as part of strategic procurement including negotiation and contract contract management
• Make savings which on a total cost basis benefits Corden Pharma
• Participate in Request for Proposal and Technical Customer Request evaluation a purchasing expert
• Maintain small, high performing local procurement team

Desired Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years experience in a similar role in an industrial environment. Experience in a pharmaceutical or agri-food environment is an advantage
• Experience in dealing with ERP Systems, e.g., Sage X3, SAP S4 Hanna and Oracle
• Experience in contract negotiation and operational monitoring
• In-depth understanding of procurement processes from purchase request to Goods Receipt and reporting and final release
• Fluent in English and in French both orally and in writing. Knowledge of German is an asset
• Experienced in managing, supervising and leading projects and people - both directly and collaterally

You are an assertive, conscientiously working, and well-organized personality with a strong analytical mind-set and quality-oriented attitude. Thanks to your good communication skills, you interact easily with other departments. You are able to do your tasks autonomously with minimal supervision and you are willing to develop yourself as a leader to guide and coach people.
