CSL Vifor is currently undergoing unprecedented growth, portfolio expansion and diversification. We are looking for a Key Account Manager for Queensland with regional trips to the Northern Territory. In this position, you will develop and implement a business plan for the territory, incorporating all resources available to ensure a commercial success for our renal medicines. Your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
- Work across both public and private hospitals and other Healthcare related businesses/organizations as required
- Take responsibility for the preparation of submissions within the territory (Formulary and Commercial Agreements) for Vifor Pharma products, ensuring that they are of the highest standard and submitted in a timely manner.
- Ensure the best possible outcome for any submissions and follow up and respond to queries in a timely manner, until determination of outcome.
- Work closely with the Market Access Team to implement Commercial Agreement programmes for specific brands as required.
- Ensure a strong understanding of the tender environment with the specific territory and work closely with the Market Access Team to achieve the best possible outcomes for Vifor Pharma.
- Develop relationships with key influential bodies, external Key Decision Makers and clinical KOL’s to optimize Vifor Pharma product uptake for appropriate patients
- Work closely with National KAM to maximize the best possible market access for Vifor Pharma products
- Liaise closely with the Sales Manager and their team of Hospital Sales Representatives as required
- Where appropriate, actively manage budgets on an ongoing basis, to ensure budget compliance.
- Nominate, and where appropriate, develop advocates for speaker meetings.
- Attend national and international congresses as appropriate.
- Maintain high levels of knowledge with regards to Vifor Pharma products changing clinical practice, hospital accounts and key customers.
- Active participation in training programs as appropriate.
- Be aware of developments in the PBS/TGA environment, assess implications and communicate to the wider team.
- Tailor local activities and adapt strategy and tactics as appropriate.
- Complete and update customer profiles and segmentation processes as appropriate
- Ensure that all administration tasks are completed, and deadlines are met.
- To support and comply with Vifor Pharma Australia duty of care obligations, in pharmacovigilance, medical information and compliance to the Medicines Australia guidelines
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Hospital Account Management
- Experience in Account Planning and Customer Mapping
- Experience is selling to and negotiating with senior hospital KDM’s
- Proven track record of influencing the development of hospital protocols/formulary pathways and funding models
- Proven track record of building effective customer networks from multi-disciplines.
- Basic understanding of medical aspects of therapeutic area along with willingness to develop in-depth expertise
- Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications
- Excellent user of Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Requirements
- Scientific or Economics Degree (BSc, MSc, Ph.D., Pharm. D.)
- Experience in Vifor Pharma therapeutic areas
- Experience of working with commercial teams
