Working in the area of Southern Sydney and ACT, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and building detailed account plans relating to our promoted brands. 

Reporting to the National Key Account Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working within public and private hospital settings and other healthcare - related businesses and organisations.
  • The preparation of formulary applications and business proposals for Vifor Pharma products, ensuring that they are of the highest standard and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Achieve nominated sales targets and customer interaction frequency targets
  • Optimise Vifor Pharma’s ability to gain fastest possible access for Vifor Pharma products
  • Analyse sales data reports, determine sales trends and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop relationships with key influential bodies and external Key Decision Makers (KDM) to optimize Vifor Pharma’s product uptake.
  • Work closely with the NSW based Hospital Sales Representative and Medical Science Liaison teams as required
  • Where appropriate, actively manage budgets on an ongoing basis, to ensure budget compliance.
  • Attend state and national congresses as appropriate.
  • Provide support, guidance and leadership to our other customer facing teams (Hospital Representative and Nurse Teams) within the state of NSW 
  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge – especially key clinical papers – changing clinical practice and customer knowledge at all times, and participating in training programs as appropriate.
  • Be aware of developments in the PBS/TGA and local issues, assessing implications and communicating to the wider team, as well as tailoring local activities to adapt strategy and tactics as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all administration tasks are completed and deadlines are met.

As a KAM you will take ownership of the development of your territories business plan, as well as the promotion of all nominated company products within the specified territory. You will also support and comply with Vifor Pharma’s duty of care obligations, in pharmacovigilance, medical information and compliance to the Medicines Australia guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Hospital Account Management 
  • Experience in Account Planning and Customer Mapping
  • Experience is selling to and negotiating with senior hospital KDM’s
  • Proven track record of influencing the development of hospital protocols/formulary pathways and funding models
  • Proven track record of building effective customer networks
  • Basic understanding of medical aspects of therapeutic area along with willingness to develop in-depth expertise
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications
  • Excellent user of Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Requirements
  • Scientific or Economics Degree (BSc, MSc, Ph.D., Pharm. D.) 
  • Experience in Vifor Pharma’s therapeutic areas (cardio-renal, womens health)
  • Experience of working with commercial teams
