We are actively looking for a Pipeline & Commercial Development Lead at our global HQ in Zurich. You will focus on driving the strategy and development plans for pipeline products from discovery to phase III (i.e. driving market assessments, commercial evaluations, investment decisions) as well as driving the operations of late stage/in-launch products. CSL Vifor is currently undergoing unprecedented growth and portfolio diversification, thus this is a truly unique opportunity to contribute to the development of our leading positions in iron deficiency, nephrology and cardio-renal therapies. Your tasks and responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides strategic and commercial inputs and contributes to drive TTP, product strategy, development/ lifecycle management plan, product potential and scenario analyses for pipeline products (from Discovery to Phase III)
- Contributes to gather key insights in market research to help analyze disease landscape and drive the strategic development
- Drives cross-functional teams in the development, review and approval of global product positioning, messaging/ communication, campaigns and customer engagement plan
- Coordinates and drives the development of the operational plan for late stage/ in-launch products and leads key global and local commercial projects
- Drives the roll-out of the global materials and customer engagement plans, for late stage/ in-launch products, with regions and key Affiliates, partnering with product managers and local launch leads
- Creates sustainable, long-term relationships with thought leaders and professional societies
- Integrates across functions, regions and partners with regards to planning and execution of the global program in support of strategic and commercial goals
- Drives capability building, innovation and strategic thinking
- Manages annual commercial budget and coordinates external vendors / agencies
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.
Minimum Requirements
- Master degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with experience in product launch and/or biopharma business development projects
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharma BU / Marketing / Brand position at global / country level
- Experience in management or strategy consulting in healthcare
- Track record in managing cross-functional project teams and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Financial and budgeting skills and experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Innovative and strategic thinking
- Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications
- Able to travel at least 20-25%

- MBA
- Professional level in German, both in oral and in written communications
- Strategic and Commercial experience in CSL Vifor therapeutic area(s)
- Documented success in gaining or maintaining market leadership position
