We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) for Qatar and Bahrain, to be based out or our Doha offices. You will report to the Commercial Director of the GCC region and act as the day-to-day manager and central point of contact with the assigned accounts. In addition, your tasks will include:
  • Ensure achievement of personal objectives, including sales, market growth
  • Identify key stakeholders (internal & external) and partner with them to ensure availability of products
  • Prepare a robust account plan for each account to achieve business objectives, including specifying how time and personal resources would be best deployed
  • Segment local accounts according to potential and propensity (i.e. likelihood of securing business) and to use such analysis to inform territory/account planning
  • Establish and build effective and productive relationships within the Corporate Partners and contacts (e.g. agents); facilitate and negotiate contracts
  • Facilitate customer education in relevant disease areas to increase awareness of best practice and clinical advantages of products
  • Maintain accurate customer records and complete administration in a timely manner in compliance with company minimum standards
  • Secure hospital formulary status and usage in key accounts and where relevant primary care support for promoted products in accordance with account plan
  • Develop commercial strategies within the area (e.g. hospital pricing) to optimize sales growth and profitability; devise a detailed tailored plan that maximizes sales in the short and long term together with the Direct Manager
  • Monitor and critically review implementation of tactical plans against key performance indicators/critical success factors and take corrective actions as required in agreement with relevant sales managers
  • Facilitate and negotiate contracts; prepare presentations, proposals, plans, contact reports as necessary
  • Ensure that all income is efficiently recorded and provide analysis using the organizational database; control that expenditure is kept within set limits and track maximum leverage from available budget

We are looking for an experienced KAM with strong networking and stakeholder management skills. Additionally, you fulfill the following criteria:

  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree in life Sciences (e.g. pharmacist, BSc Biology, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of successful pharmaceutical institutional or account based selling experience (including formulary responsibility) with access to hospital environment
  • Experience within the therapeutic areas of Gastroenterology and Gynecology, experience within Nephrology would be a strong advantage
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant protocols and compliance guidelines
  • Good computer skills: MS-Office,  data-bases, etc.
  • Valid driver's license for Qatar
  • Fluent in English and Arabic both in spoken and written communication
You describe yourself as a person with strong organizational and analytical skills, examining and understanding issues from multiple perspectives.  You bring a broad scientific, pharmacoeconomic and medical knowledge and demonstrate strong business acumen and the willingness to develop therapeutic and market expertise within designated therapy areas.
