We are looking for a hands-on, agile HR leader to join our growing Benelux organization in Breda. In this key role, you will be responsible for both operational HR functions and local HR strategy implementation. As a part of the Benelux management team, you will partner with your business leaders to ensure the success of the organization. You act locally as a subject matter expert in all HR Processes, HR Administration and Compensation & Benefits. You focus on the entire Employee Life Cycle, e.g. Hiring, Onboarding, Performance Management, Learning and Development. Reporting directly to the Head of HR Mid-Size Countries, with a dotted line report to the General Manager Benelux, you will take an active participation in the management team and your tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Partner with the business to ensure successful talent management, succession planning and employee development
  • Advice and coach management on people related topics
  • Lead people reviews and people development activities
  • Drive the change management process as a part of the management team
  • Ensure effective management of all HR administrative and payroll tasks (on-boarding, exit process, work certificates, work confirmation, time management, archiving, filing, personal data and  files)
  • Manage HR data linked with payroll providers as well as ensure proper follow up of finance data and constraints linked to payroll
  • Maintain HR key figures and monthly data reporting
  • HR office administration including invoice payment  in collaboration with office manager
  • Ensure correct handling of workplace policies, procedures and practices in compliance with Employment legislation and regulations
  • Extract data from HR tools used for compensation & benefits data and for people assessments
  • Ensure proper follow up of sickness leave and manage of absenteeism including case management in collaboration with external provider
  • Responsible for local employee relations activities and documentation
  • Collaborate in HR related projects as requested
  • Support the recruitment activities in collaboration with the international Talent Acquisition team

The successful candidate has completed a relevant degree in Human Resources or equivalent (HR administrative diploma) including payroll knowledge. Additionally you bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum of 5  years related experience in HR in a Benelux business environment (an additional experience in international HR is an asset)
  • Payroll experience is mandatory
  • Very good knowledge of Belgian and Dutch Labor Law and employment principles
  • Business acumen; Pharma market know-how is an asset
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English is required
  • Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, international, matrix organization
  • Excellent user of Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and advanced user of HR database and tools

You take a proactive approach to identifying service support, information flow and process, ensuring to resolve issues appropriately and in a timely manner. You are trust-worthy and discreet regarding confidential matters and take a loyal and committed approach to your work. You work effectively with a wide variety of personnel at different levels in the company, with a willingness to learn new approaches and the ability to adapt to change. You show flexibility regarding working hours and lead by example, promoting team work.
